There was a time when individuals aged 30 and older would demonstrate respect for their elders and were capable of effectively parenting their children. I feel sorrow for the future generations, imagining a world where they will have to coexist with deceitful individuals who hold positions of authority, attempting to oversee employees who possess greater expertise, education, social skills, and business etiquette. These authority figures do not hesitate to behave inappropriately, betraying the trust of their colleagues and friends. It is disheartening to witness such behavior from those in managerial roles.
As I've always attest, this society has unfortunately turned into a modern-day version of Sodom and Gomorrah, where many individuals, particularly parents and caregivers, seem to have lost their innate capacity to love. Instead of prioritizing their responsibilities towards their children, they are overly focused on seeking instant gratification and approval from various types of partners. Personally, I have always maintained the same attitude of prioritizing my children over any romantic relationship, regardless of my age. I have always been ready to protect them, even at the cost of my own life. Regrettably, many women today seem more concerned with their appearance and attracting a partner, often neglecting their self-respect and dignity. It is crucial to uphold the values of being a lady, which includes proper conduct, self-respect, and the ability to communicate effectively. If this seems challenging, practicing these principles at home can make them second nature, ensuring that one presents themselves appropriately in public. It is no longer acceptable or attractive to display ignorance to the world, especially for women.
Many Millennial parents, whose own parents migrated to the US for a better life, have children born in the US. I support and commend anyone relocating for improved living conditions, education, or safety, as I would desire the same for myself and my children in the event of civil unrest. Thankfully, the most recent civil unrest in the US occurred around 2018-2022, causing significant upheaval and altering people's interactions. The power of words to either harm or heal is emphasized in Proverbs 12:25, warning against unkind speech that can deeply affect individuals. Believers are urged in Colossians 4:6 to avoid divisive language like gossip, criticism, or name-calling. Unfortunately, even a single negative influence can create discord, especially among those who feel [entitled] due to being the [first] in their family to achieve educational milestones. Such individuals may exhibit exclusivity based on race or ethnicity, failing to realize that acceptance is not determined by color but by genuine connection.
Food for Thought: Embrace your true, authentic self without pretending to be someone else or seeking approval from those who only accept you superficially. Remember, trying to fit in by imitating others will only lead to being used and discarded when no longer convenient. So, continue to express your individuality, maintain your unique style, and be true to who you are. You'll never truly belong by trying to be someone you're not.
