Change: Identify the Enemy In Your Life -

I am unsure about the target audience of this blog, but I hope that it brings blessings to your life where they are most needed. I often remember a significant sermon delivered by a highly respected and inspirational leader around 12-13 years ago. The reason this sermon has stayed with me is because it carries a powerful message that I feel compelled to share with the public when guided by God.

It is time for the church to elevate itself - to transcend the challenges that are hindering its radiance. Many individuals who neglect to worship God tend to base their praises on their current circumstances. For example, there are those who used to be devoted and unwavering in their faith - glorifying Him, upholding His values, and so on; however, when faced with adversity, they suddenly find reasons not to praise God because things did not unfold as anticipated. Our purpose is to shine brightly. God has a specific design for us to emanate His light. Therefore, avoid complaining, as there are wonderful things awaiting you; yet until God perceives a shift in your perspective, your blessings will be postponed.

Abraham was instructed by God not to be afraid of what He had in stored, but rather to fear missing out on the greatness intended for him. To prepare for change, Abraham needed to distance himself from distractions in his environment that were impeding his blessings from God. These distractions included individuals who did not align with God's principles and his own mental state. It was emphasized that one's environment has a significant impact, shaping the individual before they can influence their surroundings. By initiating change for the sake of God's blessings, any obstacles, barriers, or negative influences would be removed by God. Taking the first step to pursue God and adhere to His principles would result in blessings not only for Abraham but also for those who supported him.

When obstacles arise in your life, God will clear the path for you to prosper in all aspects, not just financially. Prosperity encompasses joy, happiness, and the abundance of life promised by God. Assisting others in finding happiness involves providing what they truly need, rather than simply giving them what they want. Remember the saying, "Know the truth, and the truth will set you free." In identifying metaphorical enemies, there are five key elements to consider:

  1. Bigger the enemy; bigger your reward from God

  2. Your enemy can advance you into your greatness, as it will cause you to continue your focus on God's principles

  3. If you're not designed for greatness, then the enemy wouldn't be trying to block your destiny

  4. When you're able to recognize the enemy; whether it's a person (people), finances, mental health (depression, insomnia, eating disorder, etc), medical issues (high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, etc), discord relationship (spouse, significant other, boyfriend/girlfriend, partner, etc), sexual identity, addiction (drugs, child molestation, incest, sexual assaults, rape, etc), then you're better able to identify it's tactic.

  5. Your enemy is the "Proof and the Evidence" that even the devil knows if you continue to follow God's principles that, God has a plan for your life. Sadly, even the devil believes more than many Christians that, God is preparing a better place for his children; therefore, it has to act fast by blocking and distorting the mindset of many Christians to turn their backs on God, before God returns for his children - all those who believe in him and have been following and sharing his principles.

Prayer is the Faith that brings about changes in your life.
